Young Professionals Event at The Buckhead Saloon
On Friday, September 4th 2009, dozens of young professionals attended a fundraiser at the Buckhead Saloon for Access Sports, an organization that provides those with physical, mental and economic challenges with tickets to sporting events as well as adaptive sports clinics. The event, which was put together By Access Sports’ Young Professionals Committee, raised over $400.
Those who paid the $5.00 ticket price were treated to three hours of drink specials, the chance to win a great prize basket through a raffle, an unlimited rides on a mechanical Bull.
“The mechanical bull was a big draw,” said Alyson Harris, Director of Access Sports. “It’s the only permanently set up mechanical bull in Philly so people took advantage of the opportunity to ride it…some even rode it more than once!”
The prize basket, which was one by Johnny Martins, contained donated items such as a Temple Owl’s Bobblehead, a Wilmington Blue Rocks souvenir, a Mary Kay Men’s Gift Set and an Access Sports Treat Bag.
To date, Access Sports has given away over a million dollars worth of tickets to sporting events ranging from Eagles games to the Devon Horse Show.
